Chao Yang

Chao Yang is a Bo-Ya Professor at the Peking University. His research interests mainly focus on the models, algorithms, software and applications related to extreme-scale parallel computing, lying primarily in the intersection of computational mathematics, computer sciences and application fields. He has published over 90 papers in peer-reviewed journals and premier conferences, and has won a series of awards including the 2016 ACM Gordon Bell Prize. He currently serves as an associate editor of SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing.

杨超，北京大学博雅特聘教授，主要从事与超大规模并行计算相关的模型、算法、软件和应用研究，研究领域涉及计算数学、计算机科学与应用领域的交叉。先后主持国家自然科学基金项目5项、主持和参与国家级科研项目多项，发表学术论文90余篇。研究成果曾先后获2012年中国科学院卢嘉锡青年人才奖、2016年美国计算机学会“戈登·贝尔”奖 (ACM Gordon Bell Prize)、2016年中国十大科技进展新闻、2017年中国科学院杰出科技成就奖、2017年CCF-IEEE CS青年科学家奖、2018年茅以升北京青年科技奖、2019年湖南省自然科学二等奖、2020年首届王选杰出青年学者奖等，先后入选中组部“万人计划”青年拔尖人才、北京市“杰出青年”科学基金、教育部“长江学者”特聘教授。目前担任SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing等刊物编委。
