Abstract:

AI for Science 是一种新的科研范式。它不仅仅会带来科研效率的大幅度提高，也会改变现有的科研体系。尤其重要的是，它还将帮助开拓工业制造的新业态。在这个新的形势下，我们应该如何建立新的科研基础设施？如何选择课题、组建团队、确定目标？有哪些新的方向值得我们关注？哪些方面应该尽早布局？本次报告将就这些问题提出一些建议。

Biography:

Weinan E is a professor in the Center for Machine Learning Research (CMLR) and the School of Mathematical Sciences at Peking University. He is also a professor at the Department of Mathematics and Program in Applied and Computational Mathematics at Princeton University. His main research interest is numerical algorithms, machine learning and multi-scale modeling, with applications to chemistry, material sciences and fluid mechanics.
